A new venture for Samirah  is 'Belly Belles fitness', the emphasis will be on fitness rather than dance and choreographies, thus combining fitness with belly dance movements .
 
The purpose of this class is not to master the art of Belly dance, but to have fun and keep fit, with a great belly dance fitness workout!!
 
Regular exercise to music (aerobic training) can help you loose weight and tone muscles.  Among these recognized benefits, aerobic exercise can also: Strengthening the muscles involved in respiration, to facilitate the flow of air in and out of the lungs, strengthening and enlarging the heart muscle, to improve its pumping efficiency and reduce the resting heart rate, known as aerobic conditioning
Strengthening muscles throughout the body, Improving circulation efficiency and reducing blood pressure, Increasing the total number of red blood cells in the body, facilitating transport of oxygen
Improved mental health, including reducing stress and lowering the incidence of depression
Reducing the risk for diabetes. In addition, high-impact aerobic activities (such as jogging or jumping rope) can stimulate bone growth, as well as reducing the risk of osteoporosis for both men and women.
 
Routine: (Just an idea, each class is different)
A gentle Warm up with light stretching
Gentle moves targeting a specific area
Isolations
Hip moves etc to drums
2 mins water break
Cardio.training, egyptian folkloric hops and steps
Cool down and floor stretches
 
What to Wear
Please wear either, leggings, shorts, joggers or harem pants. A t-shirt, crop top or belly dancing bra/top. Trainers can be worn or soft flat shoes or bare feet. Please bring a scarf to tie around your hips and also a mat or towel for floor work, as well as some water, its hot work!
 
Belly Belles Fitness is £7 a session.
